GALWAY DOWNS HOSTS INTERNATIONAL EVENTING CHAMPIONSHIPS


TEMECULA, CA -The Galway Downs National Eventing Championships (CCI* /
CCI**) on Nov. 3-5 at Galway Downs, will showcase 121 riders from six
countries who will compete in the three-phase event.

The three-day event also will include an equestrian trade show, food court
and art show.

The strongest field in four years will compete for $12,000 in prize money.

"Here is an opportunity for veteran equestrian sports lovers and first
timers alike to see some of the best riders in the world take on our
challenging cross country course," said Robert Kellerhouse, event organizer.
"Once you learn the game, I promise you will love the sport."

The field will include Halwey Bennett of Temecula, Heather Morris, formerly
of Wildomar, and Amy Trion, who recently won a bronze medal at the World
Equestrian Games in Germany.

There are three phases in equestrian eventing:

Phase I:
Dressage -Friday, Nov. 3; 8AM-4PM

 Phase II:
Cross-Country - Saturday, Nov. 4; 8AM-3PM

Phase III:
Show Jumping - Sunday, Nov. 5;  10AM-3PM


Advanced tickets can be purchased online at www.galwaydowns.com for $8 each.
General admission is  $10 at the door and $50 for VIP, which includes a
catered lunch and private seating area overlooking the main arenas.

Directions from Temecula, California: Off of I-15 take Hwy 79 South (Indio
Exit) 6 miles to Los Caballos Road and turn left. Go 1/2 mile to Los
Corralitos Road and turn right follow signs into Galway Downs.
